Matrox Video support for Adobe Premiere Pro
Matrox Video Products Group today announced that its award-winning Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme(tm) and RT.X10 Xtra(tm) realtime editing platforms will support the new Adobe Premiere Pro software. Designed for corporate communicators, event videographers, project studios, educational facilities, and digital filmmakers, Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme will extend the capabilities of Adobe Premiere Pro to give professional users an important competitive edge. It will also give a significant productivity boost to Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop users with WYSIWYG support for video output on an NTSC or PAL monitor. Matrox RT.X10 Xtra lets PC users quickly and easily create home movies, business videos, and school projects they can be proud of, even if they are new to video.
"Our close relationship with Adobe during development will enable us to support Adobe Premiere Pro as soon as it begins shipping," said Spiro Plagakis, Matrox vice president of sales and marketing. "Users of RT.X100 Xtreme with Adobe Premiere Pro will benefit from full-quality, full-resolution, no-compromise editing, superior realtime 3D effects with spline keyframe control, and sought-after realtime filters such as pan & scan, old movie, and soft focus. They will also get an important productivity boost from realtime analog and DV print-to-tape, realtime MPEG-2 capture and encoding, and faster, more versatile capture and export tools."
"We are pleased that Matrox will take advantage of the open architecture of Adobe Premiere Pro to expand its realtime capabilities," said Richard Townhill, group product manager for Premiere Pro at Adobe. "The realtime 3D effects introduced in the Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme bring more functionality to Premiere Pro, expanding creative options and providing an enhanced editing experience for our customers."
Upgrade Policy Customers who purchased RT.X100 Xtreme or RT.X10 Xtra bundled with Adobe Premiere 6.5, on or after June 7, 2003, will receive a free upgrade to Adobe Premiere Pro from Matrox. Customers who made their purchase prior to June 7, 2003 will be able to order their Adobe Premiere Pro upgrade directly from Adobe.
